
Boadas 1880, one of the oldest charcuterie companies in Spain, specialising in serrano ham, cured sausages and cold meats, presented the first traditional sausage in the meat market with a 60% reduction in saturated fat and 40% reduction in salt in the latest edition of ANUGA “Good for you”.
This innovation, which marks a before and after in the category, has been developed for 3 years by R&D&i Boadas 1880 within the framework of the European TeRiFiQ programme, focused on the investigation of improvements in nutritional profiles of food products.
This new product is a true revolution in the cured meats segment, as it combines two trending tendencies: health and pleasure.
In addition to its traditional aroma, texture and taste, typical of the artisanal chorizo, Boadas 1880 provides a significant and real decrease in fats and salt, and is presented in a convenient bi-pack format, which enables the consumer to appreciate the extraordinary quality of the product and consume only the portion they need and when they want.
