Q-PORK. Alternatives to improve the quality of pork and pork-based products. The goal of this project is to achieve a meat-quality measurement system that is reliable, economically viable for companies, automated in some of its parts and managed by software that integrates the measure of quality parameters, the classification of the piece of meat based on previously defined categories and its orientation towards the most suitable process to optimise its transformation into a manufactured product. KETRENOVIN. Research and experimental application of biotechnology as a KET in obtaining new ingredients with high added value for the Catalan food and agriculture sector. The goal of this project is to identify new ingredients and study the effects of marine products, plant extracts, co-products and enzymes for use in food, supplements or animal feed or daily dietary strategies that are effective in improving animal and human health. These projects are co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF OP). INNOAPAT is a community of companies and research centres dedicated to food, created through the RIS3CAT Action Plan of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and led by IRTA (Food and Agriculture Research and Technology Institute). It is made up of 51 partners between companies, research centres and associations. Its goal is to encourage innovation to achieve a healthier, safer and more sustainable food chain. Furthermore, INNOAPAT will have a budget of 11 million euros and over the next three years it will work to promote the R&D&i of Catalan food and agriculture companies and improve their competitiveness. The three strategic goals it will focus on are increasing the supply of healthy food products, improving consumer confidence in Catalan products and reducing food waste.
